Pre-season Forum

Bob Brister the voice at Oulton Broad & Carrow Road

A quick reminder to all race officials that Thursday evening is our annual Pre-season Forum for you all.

We welcome:

Officers of the Day / Timekeepers / Race Secretaries / Scrutineers

Rescue Divers and Crews / Commentators / General Volunteers

The Clubhouse bar will be open following the meeting (2000hrs ish) for a general members social with all welcome. Please support this

As always we are desperately on the look out for officials and volunteers for all of the above jobs and additionally for clubhouse gate staff, pay gate staff and general helpers. Please, please let us know if there’s anything you can assist with no matter how big or small.

Very sad news unfortunately ….. an absolute legend of the club and wider sport Bob Brister has passed away.

Bob had a long career as a commentator of the powerboat racing and had huge involvement in the Bristol and Holme Pierrepont “glory days” back in the 70’s and 80’s. For many years he was also the voice at Carrow Road during Norwich FC matches.

A true gentleman, RIP Bob.
