Our thanks go to the those who gave their time today in repairing and relaunching the clubs Hydroplane jetty’s.
Sam Perks who continually supports us with his digger to lift the jetty’s into the water!
Jonny Peak who brought his “Mini Rapid” boat along to tow and move the jetty’s.
Barry & Wayne Turner, Thomas Mantripp, Ben Morse & James Green who all braved the poor weather to carry out the essential repairs
Don’t forget racing recommences next Sunday, the 5th of May from midday with FREE ENTRY to the event
Season Countdown 2
As the countdown to the 2024 race season gets ever shorter our fantastic, dedicated rescue team have been busy preparing behind the scenes.
On Tuesday the crews all took part in a valuable, bespoke first-aid training course provided by Ikon Ambulance Services - well done to all and thanks to Ikon. Then on Thursday evening it was time to take to the water for what we aptly name the “wet driver” training. This consists of casualty extraction from the water with the rescue divers, boat crew and helmsman all playing a critical part in the process. Again a great turn out from the existing team and it was very welcoming to see some new recruits at both events well done to our Safety Officer Sam Bird for coordinating things
A special thanks must go to Boston Putford Offshore Safety for their continued support maintaining the rescue boat fleet.
